On Saturday morning, we got up at 4:30am to take a couple that were staying with us to the airport for a scenic flight. As it was still dark and we were up anyway, we decided to go to a place called "Hidden Valley" which was, by all accounts, a nice photo opportunity early in the morning.
Well, after driving backwards and forwards along the only possible road, we still couldn't find it. It was well and truly hidden! Eventually, we worked out that the obvious "To Hidden Valley" sign didn't exist and we worked out that Mirima National Park was its other name.
Well, it was worth the running around! We got there in time for the sunrise and I proceeded to clamber around for far too long until it was time to collect our houemates at 9:00 am.
Well recommended to visit, it's less than 2km from town.
